Another great day together

I can't help but take tons of photos of you with daddy. You two are just sooo cute together and I want you to see just how much your daddy HOGGED you up before he had to return to work . hehe I often find him just staring at you in the middle of the night...and then he looks over and realizes that I'm staring right back at both of you. I watch how you both raise your eyebrows during sleep, how you smirk during a good dream and you curve your smile to the right, the row of lines that show above your eyebrows when you are expressing wonderment or you're scared.


You share so many of your daddy's traits, including RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME. Oh yes my little Rowan, you my boy are a kicker! And you
absolutely HATE to be in a dirty diaper, but you hate when we expose you to change you into a clean one. You have already let us know sponge baths are not your fave thing either. In fact, you don't like it when the temperature on your skin changes without your approval. Even lotion makes you flinch and crinkle your nose disapprovingly! You do really cute things like pucker your lips during sleep and make these cute sounds like you're shrieking with excitement. Smokey and Princess always come up close to you and watch you intently to see what you'll do next.

As new parents we are paranoid. I'll be the first to admit it. We have stacks of books everywhere in the house to help us figure out how to limit the number of screw ups we have on any given day. for example - is it ok to let you sleep with a blanket on you or not? Should we use the wedge or not? What about a paci? Should we be noisy while you sleep so you're not a light sleeper? Ah well, we've got the answer to the last question.

THE MORE NOISE THE BETTER! You lOVE sleeping thru noise! SCORE BABY! You sleep like a rock just like mama. When you are zzzzzzzzzzzzzz, nothing is going to interrupt it! We have the tv on full blast, music playing, dogs barking and there you are ..snoring away. AWESOME. In this photo Daddy is trying to steal my thunder by claiming this is something he's passed onto you. But I know that your ability to sleep thru almost anything is my thang!
