You're almost here!

Hi Honey,

This is your mama. We've spent almost a full 9 months together now and the doctors are telling me you're going to be with us very soon. I can't believe we get to meet you sometime within the next few days! We've dreamt and prayed for you so very long it almost feels like this is someone else's life we're living, but with each kick you give me you remind me that it's all real! We love you so very very much and cannot wait until your birthday comes.

For the last 5 days I've been on bedrest to give you time to get bigger and stronger because I'm only 37wks2days. Today the on-call dr, Dr. Harris, told me that you weigh about 5lbs 11oz which made me chuckle because I only weighed 5lb 1.5oz when I was born. This probably means you're going to be my very little hunny bunny and I'll get a real sense of what it was like for everyone else when they held me as a baby. The dr also said that you're head is "engaged" which means that you're in position to be born - that's my boy! Way to go! I hope the next few days together are full of sweet memories of kicks that I'll never forget. I have been so blessed to carry you inside of me all this time and it's something I will cherish forever. I thank God that he gave us to you and you are our special miracle in so many ways. There are so many people that prayed for you even before you came to be with us - I hope to show you someday all the excitement that surrounded us when we announced I was carrying you.

You should see the happy face that daddy has each day. He loves you so very much too and I know he can't wait to hold you in his arms. He cooks up all the yummy dinners that you enjoy everyday and you're lucky because at this point, mama isn't a cook at all. I'm sure that will change but in the meantime , we both love being spoiled by Daddy. Everyday when he comes home from work, Daddy likes to give you kisses and make funny noises into my belly to get you to "talk" to him..and you do! You wiggle with excitement when you hear him and it makes us laugh so much. I really hope that you get all the amazing qualities that your daddy has - he's truly a special man and you are going to be so lucky to call him Dad!




Smokey and Princess are pretty anxious about meeting you too!
They've been REALLY protective of mama and won't leave my side at all. They snuggle up right next to you and keep you warm and even kiss you from time to time. I can already tell you that they might steal some of your new toys and hide them in their safe places,but thats mommy & daddy's fault for buying them human toys instead of pet toys. Ooops. Even so, they are going to just love you to bits. We know it.
