Today mama went for another checkup to see if you were ready to come join us. The nurses checked my blood pressure and they said it was high, so they hooked me up to a machine to check your fluid levels and also to make sure you're doing ok in your temporary home in my belly. Even though you didn't move as much as last time your heartbeat is sure strong.
But before I got hooked up to this machine to hear your heart beating the doctor checked mama to see if my cervix was doing anything. I know "cervix"..what is that?! Well, it's probably best if I just show you a picture.

Ok, so this is how you appear right now in mom's belly or shall I say pelvis because Dr. Harris said you were at station 0 but my cervix is "made of steel." Apparently Superman is not the only one with superhero parts. You see, in order for you to be born, that cervix needs to get soft and open.
What does all this mean? Well, it means that I'm back at home with you still in my belly on more strict bedrest.

Since I was 35weeks Dr. Youngkin has commented that you were very low already. I kept forgetting to ask him what station you were at but I finally got the answer today from Dr. Harris (the on call doctor). As I mentioned earlier, you're at station 0. Here's a picture so you can see just how close you are to being born!
Daddy is taking care of us so well by giving mom massages and holding her when she gets really nervous and starts to cry with worry. On Saturday it will be 38wks and you'll be considered full term which means if I go into labor the birthday party has begun for you! Monday morning I'm going to see Dr. Youngkin again in the morning to see what's in store for us. I have to be honest..we're getting realllly anxious to meet you and while I love having you in my belly, we are ready to hold you in our arms and smother you with kisses.
