Meeting Nana & Momo

After waiting 6 longs days we finally drove to San Antonio so you could meet your Nana & Momo today. The entire drive I kept thinking about your Popo, who would have been so happy to meet you too. There's a photo of him holding me when I was a newborn and since I was tiny like you I kept imagining what it would be like if he held you today. Thankfully we arrived safely to their home and it was a beautiful thing for them to meet you. I know they prayed for your safe arrival for many many months.

This is your Nana (grandma Maria). Before you were even born, she already spoiled you by getting you so many things. She is one of the most selfless people I know. Nana is so full of love for babies, but I can only begin to imagine just how much she loves you. You can see in this picture just how proud she is that you are her grandson. I know its going to be a matter of time before you start getting away with things at her house that you wouldn't at ours! tsktsk

Another very special person in your life is your Momo (great-grandma Sara). She's 76 and she's waited a very long time to have a great-grandson in her life. Your great-grandpa Tony would have been so proud to introduce you to everyone as well, but God wanted him up in heaven so instead he's going to be an angel that watches over you from up above.

One of mama's good friends came to visit you today. Mae and I have known each other for over 8 yrs now and this is her daughter Adriana.

Now onto one of the newest things we did together tonight - a sponge bath. I wish I could write that you loved it and include photos of you smiling with glee, but the truth is that you turned beet red and hated every second. It wasn't until we wrapped you up in the towel and daddy held you that you calmed down. Something tells me that when we give you a real bath you're going to call CPS.
