The next morning

Good morning Rowan,


This morning it starts to really sink in. You are here! You're laying in the bassinett next to mama sound asleep, but when you're ready to eat you have no problem showing me that its time! Mama has dreamt of you being here for so long and even though I'm very tired, I don't care that I haven't slept at all. I just love you so much mijo!

We finally get moved to another room and the bed in there is GLORIOUS. Daddy has no problems with his new bed either because after a few hours, I wake up from a nap and find him snuggled up with you.

The pediatrician has informed us that you have jaundice so we're going to be staying another night. Now I'm really glad that we packed some warm pj's for you. I have to admit , you look pretty darn cute here!

Breastfeeding is also going pretty well.

Right now you're only getting colostrum, but that's the good stuff that's going to deliver nutrients and protection against cooties that can harm you as a baby.
