Today you're three weeks old!

Hi my love,

It's been a few days since mama has had a chance to post. You've been keeping us pretty busy and since its christmas we've also been putting up the christmas tree for you which means the house is turned upside down right now! Mama has also been taking soo many photos on her cell phone of you that its full so I'm in the process of downloading all of them so I don't lose any of them. There are a couple on it that are from when you were only a few hours old and I LOVE them!

Today you are three weeks old! Mom and Dad just can't believe how much you have changed already. You've outgrown some of your preemie clothes and you're starting to get an adorable double chin! It's pretty obvious you're in the middle of a growth spurt because you want to nurse ALL THE TIME. That's ok because mama loves giving you carinos when you're nursing.


These pictures I'm posting next are from your first 3 weeks of life and document everything from our time together nursing to watching tv with your daddy. Time flies when you spend it with a beautiful lovable son like you.

This photo was from your first day of life. Your face was so swollen and you slept alot but looking back at this photo now makes mama weepy because you have already grown up so much! You were adorable from day one!


I love this photo because it captures how tiny you were - look at your hands - you don't even fill your own soft skin yet! Awwwww.

But a week of breastmilk has done my baby good because now you have really cute chubby cheeks!
In the mornings is when you enjoy the bouncer the most so I always set it atop the bed facing the window and let you enjoy the sights and sounds.
One of the gifts we received for you was a baby swaddler blanket. A "must have " for all newborns according to all moms. And they were right - you love being swaddled. With one exception - your arms MUST be free for you to raise otherwise Rowan isn't a happy baby. Guess who sleeps like this? If you guessed mama you are correct!

Below you can see a tiny glimpse of the christmas tree we setup for you at home. You really enjoy staring at the pretty red and white lights and gazing at the sparkly ornaments.
Tonight we drove over to mom & dad's friends house because it was Eisley's dads 32nd birthday.
If Eisley looks familiar its because she was laying on my belly and hugging you just a few days before you were born (look back a few blogs to see the photo). She looks like such a big girl now that you're here! She even gave you a few kisses before you left. Oh yea on the way home we drove thru snow flurries! Yup, your first snow flurries in December. Maybe you'll actually get real snow this year!
